The coach that crashed off a bridge in Thanh Hóa Province on Tuesday, killing one and injuring eight others.
THANH HÓA — One person died and eight others were injured on Tuesday morning when a coach crashed off a bridge and into a river in Trường Lâm Commune, Tĩnh Gia District in the central province of Thanh Hóa.
Local residents and police broke the coach’s windows to rescue the victims.
The driver was named as Lê Văn Tùng, 30, from the northern province of Bắc Ninh.
Seven victims are receiving treatment at Tuấn Linh Clinic in Tĩnh Gia District, while more seriously injured passengers have been taken to the Hà Nội-based Việt Nam-Germany Hospital.
An investigation is underway.
In another development, one person died and three others were seriously hurt the same morning in a coach accident in Giao Châu Commune, Giao Thủy District, in the northern province of Nam Định.
The coach crashed into an electric bike running in the same direction before running into a car and nearby house.
The woman driving the electric bike died on the spot. Three passengers on the coach were injured. The house and the car were destroyed.
Police have opened an investigation into the case. — Khánh
