HÀ NỘI — More than 500,000 people living in Hà Nội have received free colorectal cancer screening since March 2017, according to the municipal Department of Health.
It is one of the city’s policies to care for residents’ health.
People over 40 with health insurance cards can register. This is the recommended age for early detection of colorectal cancer once a year.
The tests were conducted at Saint Paul, Vinmec and Thu Cúc hospitals.
If a person tests positive for the disease, they will receive consultancy for proper treatment.
So far 21,797 people have tested positive for the disease.
The programme will continue this year. — Khánh
