Only 5 films are nominated in the Grand Festival Prize coming from France, Spain, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam. ‘Yen’s Life’ directed by Dinh Tuan Vu won the title, which gains the most important award at the festival.
Produced by Vietnam Feature Film-studio (VFF), ‘Yen’s Life’ has been shown domestically since the beginning of 2016. Yen’s Life is a Vietnamese entry, revolving around the story of a young Vietnamese woman who, because of a family arrangement, was married off at the tender age of 10. The film has achieved great recognition in Vietnam, winning 5 important titles of 19th Vietnam Film Festival.
