With a total area of 660ha, the construction of Yen Phong IZ is divided into two phases. The first phase, which started in 2005, covered 350ha. When completed, the industrial zone is expected to help Bac Ninh achieve investment of about $10 billion. With Samsung's decision last year to invest an additional $3 billion in the project, Yên Phong Industrial Zone has so far attracted total investment of up to $8 billion and created jobs for over 60 thousand people.
