VTV.vn - Minister of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Tran Hong Ha, visited Binh Dinh Province to directly supervise post-storm clean-up efforts after 10 ships were wrecked or damaged off the coast of Quy Nhon in the recent storm.

Storm Damrey sunk eight vessels with two left heavily damaged. Around 103,000 litres of diesel and 110 tonNes of fuel remain on the wrecked vessels, posing a threat of oil slicks.

The minister agreed to the removal of the fuel and oil and moves to isolate the area in case of an oil spill. Work will begin as soon as the weather improves.
