World Bank provides US$238 loan for sustainable agriculture

The project is expected to directly benefit 200,000 rice-growing households or some 1 million people in the Mekong Delta and another 50,000 coffee producing households of about 250,000 people in the Central Highlands. The project will also assist famers in Kiên Giang, An Giang, Tiền Giang and some other Mekong River Delta provinces in cultivation, infrastructure, processing and business links. Robusta coffee which is produced in Lam Dong, Daklak, Dak Nong and Kon Tum provinces is also included in the project.
