Many people in Vietnam believe that working in Japan would require an initial fee of nearly 9000 US dollars. However, the Vietnam Center of Overseas Labor under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs offers the same opportunity at zero charge through many services including job seeking announcement on its website.
Through a few clicks of the mouse, Thuc Oanh was able to get a chance at working overseas, free of charge, thanks to the help of the Vietnam Center of Overseas Labour, while her friends had to spend thousands of US dollars. She traveled a long way from Vinh Long to Hanoi, to participate in the Japanese language training program.
“I tried really hard to learn Japanese. Soon, I will get to work in Japan and earn over 1300 US dollars in salary, which is great for me. I hope that many more people find out about this program and participate in it” she said.
“When I train them, I consider them my own children and hope that a strict and professional working environment in Japan will help them improve their skills, and later contribute to their country's development”, Mokude Yasuaki, Japanese expert said.
In the last 10 years, the Center of Overseas Labor has supported over 100,000 Vietnamese laborers to work in RoK, Japan, Germany and Taiwan. Vietnamese workers can earn up to 26,000 US dollars, and an extra of over 5200 US dollars for establishing startups in Vietnam, through the program in Japan, provided they do a good job.
“This is a chance for them to change their lives. Japanese organizations highly appreciate Vietnamese interns for their hardworking quality and quick adaptation to new working environments”, said Yoda Yosuke, Chief Representative of IM Japan Office in Vietnam.
Hundreds of applications for overseas internships are received each day. Good opportunities to work overseas are awaiting young generations of Vietnamese workers, thanks to these programs.
