According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, water levels of lakes in Thanh Hoa province are now lower than 40-50% of capacity, Nghe An rivers are 85 to 90% lower, and in Ha Tinh provinces they're 40 to 50% lower. Most lakes in the Central and Central Highlands region have only reached roughly half of capacity, with some only reaching 1/3 of the capacity. Particularly in the Central Highlands, the water levels of several hydropower reservoirs are at 1 to 5 meters lower than normal water levels.
