VTV.vn - Taking place from August 28 to September 5, a wide range of vibrant activities will be held at the Vietnam Television (VTV) booth as part of the '80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness' exhibition, showcasing national achievements.

At this exhibition, marking the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, VTV will   present the story of its 55-year journey from establishment to development, and reaffirming its role as a trusted companion to  audiences, and its close connection  to the nation’s historical flow.

The National Achievements Exhibition, with the theme “80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”,  honors the Vietnam’s  outstanding achievements   throughout various  historical periods. It affirms the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, and the unity, creativity, and effort of the entire people in building and advancing the nation. The exhibition also contributes to promoting patriotism, reinforcing public trust in the path of renewal and sustainable development, while presenting an image of a modern, dynamic Vietnam that is deeply integrated into the world. Given that the country working towards the goals of the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy (2021–2030) and preparing for the 14th National Party Congress, the  exhibition takes on added significance, reviewing the journey thus far and inspiring  innovation and creativity for the next stage of development.

Running from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi, the exhibition showcases  significant achievements across 80 years of development in many fields, especially key areas such as industry and technology, investment and trade, agriculture and rural development, security and defense, diplomacy, healthcare, education, culture, sports, and tourism. It   also celebrates Vietnamese culture, the country, and its people, encompassing 4,000 years of history, the diversity of its 54 ethnic groups, its abundant natural resources, and its architectural landmarks from the past to the present  day. Other areas include green industry, digital and green transformation, aerospace, defense, international spaces featuring Vietnam’s key diplomatic partners. There will also be  displays of 12 cultural industries.

The National Convention and Exhibition Center has been chosen as the venue to host the Exhibition of National Achievements in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Displays are divided into thematic areas, namely General Exhibition, Green Economy and Clean Energy, Aerospace, Security and Defense, International Space, and 12 Cultural Industries.

According to  Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh,  the exhibition forms  part of the National Day celebrations, and must therefore be comprehensive and  rich in content,   closely aligning with the chosen theme. Exhibits should be presented in a variety of ways, such as  artifacts, images, digital platforms, and modern technological showcases,  to make a strong impression on both domestic and international visitors.

In the 'Shaping and Developing' section of the General Exhibition Area , VTV’s booth, themed “VTV - 55 Years of Pride, Growing Together with the Nation”, will highlight not only its historical milestones but also its contributions to delivering information and  Party and State policies,   as well as its role in preserving and spreading Vietnam’s cultural values. VTV also serves as a cultural bridge, showcasing Vietnam’s image as a peace-loving and dynamic nation to the world.

Accordingly, under the direction of VTV’s leadership, the Program Department, together with the network's affiliated units, have developed plans ranging from booth design to organizing activities at the exhibition space, ensuring alignment with the overall theme of the exhibition: 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness.

According to Mr. Le Quyen, VTV’s Deputy Director General , the booth will feature multiple experiential spaces, including exhibits depicting VTV’s history alongside national progress, displays of current programs, demonstrations of new broadcasting technologies, and interactive areas for audience engagement. Over the nine-day exhibition, VTV will present a chain of diverse activities, each day with a unique theme reflecting its 55-year journey alongside the nation’s development.

The  Foreign Programs Channel will introduce Vietnam Today, the national external broadcasting channel, , thereby affirming VTV’s role in connecting cultures and strengthening Vietnam’s global presence. The Digital Content Production and Development Center will highlight VTV’s pioneering role in the national digital transformation through the launch of VTVGo - the national digital TV platform that makes television more accessible to  everyone. The unit will also introduce the One VTV strategy, which aims to create a diverse ecosystem that reaches all audiences.

VTV’s exhibition booth has been built in time for the opening day of the Exhibition. The highlight of the booth is a large-scale LED screen system combined with advanced technologies such as AR, VR, and a virtual studio, offering visitors an immersive and dynamic experience.

Many activities will be held at VTV’s exhibition booth.

In the field of education and technology, the Department of Special and Educational Programs will showcase stories from TV shows  that have been popular with generations of Vietnamese, while also demonstrating the role of technological education by showcasing  robot design competitions, such as Robocon, which inspire creativity and encourage a sustainable future. The Ethnic Language Broadcasting Department will emphasize VTV’s role in preserving and promoting the cultural identities of Vietnam’s ethnic groups, underscoring unity as a key foundation for   shared national development. Meanwhile, the Television Film Production Center will demonstrate  VTV’s impact on the cultural and entertainment industries   through entertainment shows, television dramas, and the grand music festival V-Concert - Radiant Vietnam, which contributes to the promotion of national cultural values.

To bring these ideas to life, VTV has designed a stage featuring a curved LED system that symbolizes Vietnam’s S-shaped coastline and its continuous development, along with interactive screens that introduce VTVGo, VTV Online, VTV ratings systems, and Smart TV integrations. Visitors can scan the VTV logo to activate AR effects, interact with the content, and take photos, as well as participate in mini-games such as Challenge with VTV, Create with VTV, Envision the Future of VTV, and Guess the Program from Its Theme Music…

In addition, during the event, VTV will collaborate with the Steering Committee to produce and broadcast content across its channels, ensuring  that  the exhibition’s messages reach a broad domestic and international audience.
