Produced by the Department of Feature and Educational Programs in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, VTV Live Healthy aims to become a reliable companion for Vietnamese families in their daily health journeys. The program offers practical health knowledge, official updates from the Ministry of Health, expert advice from leading medical professionals, and inspiring real-life stories. Its motto “VTV Live Healthy – Healthy to Live Fully” is not only the program’s message but also a call to action, raising awareness, promoting behavioral change, and spreading a healthy, humane, and scientific lifestyle within the community.
Each episode is structured with diverse segments, including domestic and international medical news; in-depth focus on specific health issues, and “Hi Doctor”, where leading doctors and specialists provide real-time studio consultations. Another segment, “Medical Arms of Compassion”, connects underprivileged patients with philanthropic donors, spreading the spirit of solidarity and raising public consciousness in protecting health with humanity.
Every broadcast will also explore trending health topics, such as epidemic prevention, non-communicable diseases, cancer care and prevention, nutrition for the Vietnamese population, healthcare for the elderly, health policies updates, and cutting-edge medical technologies.
According to Do Duc Hoang, Deputy Director General of Vietnam Television,the national broadcaster is committed to supporting the sustainable development of the country, recognizing that physical and mental health are core foundations. “We believe a healthy society cannot exist without standard, accessible, educational healthcare media. ‘VTV Live Healthy’ affirms this commitment by providing a multi-platform healthcare information ecosystem that is accessible, diverse, and built through tight coordination between professionals, hospitals, and the people across Vietnam. We need strong support from the Ministry of Health, doctors, medical facilities, and most importantly, the public’s trust. With that in mind, we are committed to continuously improving program quality, refreshing content presentation, enhancing interaction, and spreading community initiatives. We aim to make information a daily habit an, a proactive lifestyle for every Vietnamese family”, Hoang said.
Journalist Nguyen Thu Ha, Head of the Department of Special Features – Science and Education at VTV, stated that each episode of “VTV Live Healthy” is structured with a variety of segments, including: domestic and international medical news; in-depth coverage of a specific health issues; “Dear Doctor”, which offers expert advice from leading doctors and specialists live in the studio; and “Healthcare Connection”, which connects patients in difficult circumstances with kindhearted donors, thereby spreading a spirit of compassion and raising community awareness about humane healthcare practices. For now, the program is broadcast live at 1:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays on VTV1, and rebroadcast on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. It is also available on VTV's digital platforms. In addition to maintaining a hotline to receive health-related questions from viewers, “VTV Live Healthy” will organize a series of community-oriented events aimed at strengthening connections between the media, the healthcare sector, and the broader public.

In addition to providing in-depth medical content, “VTV Live Healthy” is also launching a series of instructional clips aimed at equipping the public with essential healthcare knowledge, including basic medical skills, first aid, and accident prevention.
