VTV and CMG sign MoU to strengthen cooperation

On the afternoon of August 19, Vietnam Television (VTV) and China Central Radio and Television (CMG) signed a memorandum of understanding at the Great Hall of the People in China.

The signing ceremony is one of the activities during the state visit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President To Lam and his wife to China from August 18-20, 2024.

The two sides agreed to deepen cooperation in exchanging and co-producing media content in the fields of news, special programs, documentaries and TV shows on topics of mutual interest, such as economic development, cultural exchanges and others, and to jointly cover important milestones in bilateral relations.

They agreed to increase personnel exchanges by sending people to each other's agencies and organizations for on-the-job training and internships.

The parties agreed to cooperate in research on the application of high and new technologies in the communications industry, to participate in international communications technology events, and to strengthen the exchange of information on the latest developments in communications technology.

With respect to business cooperation, the two sides  committed  to leverage their respective advantages to enhance cooperation in the areas of content distribution, market research, commercial and copyright protection, as well as to cooperate in the creation of program derivatives.
