Over the past 54 years, VTV has grown remarkably, achieving many significant accomplishments in the field of journalism and communication, serving as a hub of cultural and spiritual content for generations of Vietnamese people.
In recent years, recognizing the shift in audience habits from traditional television to multi-platform content, VTV has continuously adapted and expanded to become the core multimedia communication agency of the Party and the State.
The year 2024 has brought many challenges for Vietnam Television. The content market’s shift towards digital platforms has created significant challenges for those working in television. However, in the face of these challenges, the team at VTV remains more passionate and professional, keeping the fire of the profession alive and their love for the VTV brand strong.
Journalist Nguyen Ngan from the Current Affairs Department of VTV said: "We receive the love of the people wherever we go. In the future, I hope to continue contributing to making positive changes in the regions we visit, helping the local people express their voices. This brings us true happiness".
The television program Duoi la co Quyet Thang was one of the highlights of a series of shows produced by VTV to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Millions of Vietnamese hearts mourned the passing of the great leader, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who devoted his life to the country and its people. The images from the state funeral touched the hearts of the nation and international friends.
In honor of the 55th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s will, a special artistic and political program entitled “Loi Nguoi de lai” was organized by the Central Propaganda Department in coordination with Vietnam Television. The program was a harmonious blend of emotional documentaries and special artistic performances.
Editor Khanh Trang from VTV’s Current Affairs Department expressed: "I always feel honored and proud to be part of VTV. When entrusted with major programs and events, the pressure is undoubtedly high, but I see it as a great opportunity for each reporter and editor to express their creativity and live wholeheartedly with the profession that we cherish and have pursued for many years. In its quest to become a leading multimedia communication agency, VTV continuously develops specialized content packages across increasingly sophisticated multi-channel, multi-platform distribution systems.
Journalist Nguyen Minh Dung from VTV’s Digital Content Production and Development Center said: "We are enhancing our content production skills to be ready for distribution on different platforms and formats. We have developed skills in data analysis, audience impact assessment, and evaluating the media effectiveness of each piece of content. This is a strength VTV can confidently execute, and I believe we will do even better in the future".
This June, the Digital Content Production and Development Center launches a new live program called Breaking News, which is broadcast exclusively on digital platforms instead of traditional television.
In 2024, VTV began construction on the S1 Studio and Central Square. The S1 Studio will have five above-ground floors and one basement. Upon completion, the project will provide a large studio complex with seating for around 750 people, capable of hosting a wide range of performances to meet the growing audiovisual demands of the public.
