VTV - 54 Years of Continuous Effort and Growth

VTV.vn - For those working in Vietnam Television, September 7, 1970, is an unforgettable milestone – the day VTV aired its first broadcast.

The past 54 years have been a journey full of glory and challenges for VTV. VTV’s continuous growth has been recognized by audiences across the country and overseas Vietnamese communities. Continuing the tradition of previous generations, today’s young generation of  VTV has mastered modern television technology, meeting the ever-increasingly high demands of society.

On the occasion of the 54th anniversary (7/9/1970 - 7/9/2024), on September 6, 2024, the VTV Trade Union, in collaboration with the Youth Union and the Office, organized a celebration. This event provided an opportunity for members and employees to meet, socialize, and foster solidarity, creating a vibrant atmosphere within VTV.

Commemorating the 54-year journey, General Director Le Ngoc Quang expressed his pride in the generations of VTV employees who have upheld the spirit of unity and perseverance. He emphasized that this unity has been the key to overcoming difficulties and challenges, allowing VTV to achieve its current success and move towards the future. On this occasion, he expressed his congratulations and gratitude for the contributions of VTV’s management, staff, and workers throughout this journey, hoping for continued efforts and unity in the future.

During the celebration, memorable moments and achievements from VTV over the past year were showcased. In addition, various performances from departments such as the Sports Department, Southwest Vietnam Television Center, Television College, and VTV Youth Union sent congratulatory messages to VTV on its 54th birthday.

On this occasion, the VTV Trade Union also awarded individuals and teams for their outstanding performance  in the 2024 VTV Mini Football Tournament and the 2024 VTV Tennis Tournament. These sporting events, organized by the VTV Trade Union and Youth Union from August 22 to August 30, were held to celebrate VTV’s 54th anniversary, alongside a raffle.
