The figure is updated daily on the fund’s official website at https://www.quyvacxincovid19.gov.vn.
Through the website, donors can transfer their contributions to the vaccine fund account at a bank of their choice by scanning the QR code or entering their credit or debit card numbers.
They can also choose to send their donations to a specific city, province or agency.
Digital certificates of donation will be sent to benefactors after they complete their donations.
The website also allows donors to send their wishes and messages to their family members, friends and workers on the frontline.
Le Anh Hong, a resident in Bac Giang, the hardest-hit province in the latest outbreak, said that contributing to the vaccine fund is a way to connect hearts and build up the strength to overcome the pandemic.
* On June 17, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs presented VND200 million (US$8,700) to the Covid-19 vaccine fund. The ministry had previously donated VND700 million to the provinces of Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Dien Bien.
