OV have shown interest in investing and supporting the homeland’s development, she said, adding that if administrative procedures are simplified, they will have greater motivation to return and take part in building the country.

For overseas Vietnamese (OV) communities, particularly those in Israel, the homeland’s implementation of the two-tier local administration model is a crucial administrative reform demonstrating the Party and State’s determination to complete institutions toward a modern, transparent, and people-centred administration system.

That was the assessment of Truong Thi Hong, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese People's Association in Israel, in a recent interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)'s resident correspondent in Tel Aviv.

Hong said that the streamlined administrative apparatus will make public services more accessible and transparent, helping to increase OV's confidence in the country's renewal efforts and promoting stronger bonds and connections with the homeland.

OV have shown interest in investing and supporting the homeland’s development, she said, adding that if administrative procedures are simplified, they will have greater motivation to return and take part in building the country.

Furthermore, if this new model is implemented effectively, it could empower local authorities to be more responsive to the needs and aspirations of OV, thus nurturing the relationship between the state and OV communities.

The country's remarkable transformation in the new era reflects the shared aspirations of the Vietnamese people. Love for the homeland, as she expressed, goes beyond nostalgia for one's birthplace, it also involves respecting and supporting the development path of the nation.

Having lived in Israel for years, a small but dynamic and innovative country, Hong observed that one of the key factors contributing to this nation's development is its lean, efficient, and transparent governance model, which allows citizens to access public services easily through digital platforms. Local administrations have the right to decide issues based on citizens’ needs while the government provides direction, supervision, and support, rather than intervening too deeply in local administrative operations.

Like many other OV, Hong is delighted with the homeland’s organisational restructuring and expressed her hope that with the change in administrative procedures, it would create the best conditions for citizens.
