Experts believe that if Vietnamese goods can be sold directly into foreign distribution systems, Vietnam can promote its brands and add value to them.
All Vietnamese vegetables have a bar-code or QR code for consumers to trace their origins. In 2015 the Prime Minister approved a project to sell local products through distribution systems abroad. Currently, apart from Auchan and AEON, Lotte Mart of Korea is expected to export Vietnamese goods worth over 88 million USD through its supermarket chains.
