VTV.vn - Somali pirates have freed 26 Asian hostages including Vietnamese sailors after the hijacking of their fishing vessel, the last commercial ship seized at the height of the country's piracy scourge, negotiators said on Saturday.

The hostages arrived in Kenyan capital Nairobi on Sunday after more than four years in captivity and await their home country's embassies to arrange for their return home. All the sailors are in good health, but they will have medical tests. The 26 hostages are from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan (China) and Vietnam. They were taken captive when their Omani-flagged vessel was seized in March 2012 south of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.
