Vietnamese enterprises struggle to find buyers for rice exports

The largest rice crop of the year, the winter-spring crop in the Mekong Delta, is facing its lowest prices in three years. The price of rice has fallen partly because enterprises purchasing rice exports have been struggling to find contracts.

In addition to the Chinese market, ministries should step up the search for a long-term rice export market in ASEAN, especially when Vietnam has joined a number of new trade agreements.
