Thousands of locals and international visitors have taken part in the event in Dhahran, about 400 km from Riyadh capital.
Various activities have been held such as exhibitions that feature Vietnam's history, land, people and heritage; film screenings; performances of traditional musical instruments; lion dances; and circus performances.
According to a representative from the Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture-who co-organized the event with the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia--they've chosen Vietnam due to its ability to preserve its rich and diverse culture despite many ups and downs throughout history.
