The puppeteers from the Thang Long Puppet Theatre are rehearsing for their performance in Spain. Folk melodies such as Ả đào or a performance presenting the mother goddess worship which is recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritages are brought to the stage. Vietnamese folk music is reflected through these performances.
People's Artists Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Director, Thang Long Puppet Theatre said: We want to introduce the most outstanding features of Hanoi and Vietnam to foreigners. Through that, we hope to present Vietnamese culture and its people.
Besides traditional music, the show also offers puppet performances. This is also a good chance to promote Vietnamese culture to the world.
Meritorious Artist Dang To Nhu said: Through the show, we want to introduce Vietnamese puppetry to everyone, including here in Spain. We've performed in Spain several times before and received good feedback every time.
There is no boundary in art. The performances by Vietnamese artists are expected to connect people and culture of the two countries.
