At the ceremony, Hai affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to promoting its traditional relations with Latin American countries, with Mexico playing a particularly important role.
Highlighting Vietnam's consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, development, and diversification and multilateralisation of external relations, the diplomat underscored Vietnam’s desire to further promote and deepen its relationship with Mexico in the coming time.
Hai promised to do his utmost to contribute to fostering the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and took this occasion to convey President Luong Cuong’s invitation to President Claudia Sheinbaum to visit Vietnam.
The Mexican leader expressed her admiration for Vietnam's historical struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as the achievements of the renewal process initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Congratulating Vietnam's milestones in national construction and development, President Sheinbaum expressed her hope to promote and strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors, particularly as the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations on May 19, 2025.
She warmly congratulated Hai on his appointment and wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission, helping elevate the Vietnam – Mexico relations to a new height.
