Within the framework of the 42nd National Television Festival taking place in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, a ceremony was held to present the Labor Order and Certificates of Merit of the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) and the State of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR) to collectives and individuals from Vietnam Television (VTV) and Lao National Television (LNTV).
Attending the ceremony on the side of the LPDR were: Mr. Phosy Keomanivong – Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT) of Laos; Ms. Simmany Keokene – General Director of LNTV; Ms. Maniphanh Luangsisongkham – Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Planning – MICT Laos; Mr. Intha Sisomphone – Deputy Director of the Personnel Organization Department – MICT Laos; Ms. Malayvieng Vongchandy – Deputy General Director of LNTV and members of the Lao working delegation.
On the side of Vietnam Television were: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam – Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of VTV; Mr. Vu Van Hien – former Member of the Party Central Committee, former General Director of VTV; Mr. Do Thanh Hai – Standing Deputy General Director of VTV; Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh – Deputy General Director of VTV; Mr. Le Quyen – Deputy General Director of VTV and former leaders of VTV, along with leaders of affiliated units under VTV.
Representing the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee was Mr. Phan Van Hung – Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee.
In order to recognize the special contributions of Lao National Television in building and developing the traditional friendship and close cooperation between VTV and LNTV, as well as the fine diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed a decision to award the Second-class Labor Order to LNTV. This is a milestone recognizing LNTV’s outstanding achievements, while also carrying significant political and diplomatic significance, contributing to strengthening the special friendship between the two nations.
In recent years, cooperation between VTV and LNTV has been highly effective, reducing production and equipment operating costs, and contributing to external information efforts on the Party’s policies and the laws of the Vietnamese state to overseas Vietnamese and Lao ethnic communities.
Considering the achievements and special contributions of VTV, which have political and diplomatic significance and represent the close relationship between the peoples of Vietnam and Laos during the development period of both countries, VTV is also honored to receive the Second-class Labor Order from the President of the Lao PDR.

To recognize and commend the practical and meaningful contributions of collectives and individuals from LNTV in the cause of building and developing VTV, the General Director of VTV issued a Decision to award Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 6 individuals from LNTV; and a Decision to award the Medal “For the Cause of Vietnamese Television” to 10 individuals from LNTV.
Also at the ceremony, Mr. Intha Sisomphone – Deputy Director of the Personnel Organization Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos – announced the Decisions on awarding the Labor Orders and Certificates of Merit from the Lao State to collectives and individuals from VTV.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phosy Keomanivong – Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos – expressed his sincere gratitude to VTV for the warm welcome at the 42nd National Television Festival in Binh Dinh. In recent times, LNTV and VTV have always cooperated and supported each other in organizing training for technical staff and television editor, and in producing news and reports. Vietnam Television has provided support and sponsored equipment for TV program production, including cameras, technical equipment, transmission and broadcasting systems, as well as maintenance and repair of technical equipment at Lao relay and broadcast stations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam – Member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and General Director of Vietnam Television expressed his honor and pleasure to attend the event and look back on the strong and long-standing partnership between Vietnam Television and Lao National Television over the past 44 years – a relationship that is not only one of professional cooperation in television but also a symbol of the great friendship and special solidarity between the two countries, Vietnam and Laos.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam extended his most sincere thanks to Comrade General Secretary – President of the Lao PDR for awarding the prestigious Second-class Labor Order of the Lao Party and State to VTV. He emphasized that this is a great honor for the collective and individuals of VTV, including generations of leadership and all staff members of the organization.
The General Director of VTV noted that over the past decade, this cooperation has been reached a new level, in line with the needs and development levels of both nations. In recent years, Vietnam Television and Lao National Television have continuously consolidated and expanded their cooperation in various areas, including program exchange, technical support, professional training, and joint organization of important media events.

This close bond has not only brought practical benefits to both parties but has also contributed to nurturing the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, making it increasingly stronger. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam expressed his firm belief that, with a solid foundation of cooperation and strong determination from both sides, VTV and LNTV will continue to achieve even greater accomplishments in the future, helping bring the images of the two countries and peoples closer together on the international stage.
