President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan said Vietnam Women Prizes were presented to women who excel in all fields. Their efforts contribute to national development and promoting gender equality and women’s advancement. Nine female students who won prizes at regional or international competitions and university entrance exams were also honoured on the occasion.
The same day, the Vietnam Women's Union – Hanoi branch honored 8 prominent female activists who have made excellent contributions to the development of the capital city and the advancement of Hanoi women.
