The total number of foreign arrivals in 2016 therefore will surpass last year's figure by over 2 million. The 10 millionth visitor is of British citizenship and will be welcomed at the Phu Quoc International Airport. 2015 saw 7.9 million foreign tourists arrive in Vietnam. With plans to apply e-visas starting February 1st 2017, Vietnam's tourism industry has set a target of 11.5 million foreign arrivals, 66 million domestic tourists and a revenue of around 20.2 billion USD in 2017.
