VTV.vn - In this digital age, social networks have proven to be an effective method for promoting a nation's culture and image. This is also how a group of young Korean men have chosen to show their love for Vietnam.

Their self-made videos on Vietnamese culture have gone viral, and thus, have promoted Vietnam's culture, landscapes and people among Korean, and international, audiences.

The mastermind behind this project that promotes Vietnamese culture is Choi Jongrak who got the inspiration for his videos from his Vietnamese dorm mate while he was studying in Vietnam.

“During my time studying in Vietnam, I've had a Vietnamese roommate named Công. He used to cook a lot of Vietnamese dishes like fried noodles with beef. That's how I learned about Vietnamese cuisine. When I returned to South Korea, I was determined to introduce Vietnamese cuisine and culture to my Korean friends”, said Choi Jongrak.

From that initial idea, Choi Jongrak met 3 other Korean friends who had spent time studying or volunteering in Vietnam. The four guys formed a group to produce video clips promoting Vietnamese culture. Film production fees were all from their own budget.

In order to understand Vietnamese culture deeper, the South Korean Guys continue learning the Vietnamese language. They are planning to produce a brand new video series on teaching Vietnamese for foreigners, especially Koreans.
