The agriculture sector will focus tra fish export activities on increasing quality with the participation of leading agricultural businesses.
“We will focus on researching methods to combine tra fish varieties with the Research Institute for Aquaculture II. This will help produce high quality tra fish”, Duong Ngoc Minh – Chairman of Hung Vuong Group – said.
Apart from improving the quality of tra fish varieties, many businesses have boosted their research on fish processing in the coming year.
“Currently, we've directed our products toward supermarkets. We aim to meet customers' demand effectively”, Nguyen Ha Nhu Nguyen – Vice Director of An Giang Import - Export Company said.
Nguyen Xuan Cuong - Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development said: “In 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will open a trade fair for tra fish products to boost the tra fish trading in the domestic market”.
In terms of export activities, many enterprises continue to expand their market in different segments including restaurants and hotels. These efforts are aimed at improving the value and competitiveness of Vietnam's tra fish in the global market.
