Vietnam records 7,859 domestic COVID-19 cases on July 26

VTV.vn - Vietnam logged an additional 5,174 new COVID-19 infections, including 5,155 domestic and 19 imported cases, from 6am to 6:30 pm on July 26, the Ministry of Health reported.

The new cases raised the number of infections detected in Vietnam on July 26 to 7,882, including 7,859 domestic and 23 imported cases.

Ho Chi Minh City, the current largest COVID-19 hotspot of the country, recorded the majority of the infections with 5,997 cases.

The rest were detected in Binh Duong (733), Dong Nai (259), Tien Giang (201), Dong Thap (135), Hanoi (81), Da Nnag (61), Vinh Long (49), Binh Thuan (48), Phu Yen (46), Can Tho (43), Ben Tre (37), Dak Lak (29), Binh Dinh (27), An Giang (25), Tra Vinh (13), Khanh Hoa (12), Vinh Phuc (10), Lam Dong (9), Quang Nam (8), Hau Giang (7), Ninh Thuan (7), Dak Nong (6), Quang Ngai (4), Gia Lai (3), Bac Lieu (2) and Nghe An (2), Hung Yen (1), Tuyen Quang (1), Ca Mau (1), Hoa Binh (1) and Thua Thien-Hue (1).

As of the afternoon of July 26, Vietnam had reported a total of 106,347 COVID-19 infections, including 104,146 domestic and 2,201 imported and cases.

On July 26, an additional 2,006 patients were given the all-clear from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, bringing the total number of recoveries so far to 21,344.

The total number of administered vaccine doses was 4,613,491. As many as 389,863 people have fully received two vaccine shots.

By July 26, Vietnam's COVID-19 vaccine fund had received VND8,236 billion (US$357.77 million) contributed by 482,123 organisations and individuals.
