Vietnam, Myanmar cooperate on banking development

At the meeting, the Myanmar governor praised Vietnam’s efforts to stabilize its macro-economy, boost economic growth and restructure the banking sector. For his part, Binh congratulated Myanmar for its recent achievements in opening and reforming its economy.

The two sides also pledged to support each other’s banking institutions. Myanmar also promised to consider a proposal to establish a branch of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam in Myanmar.
