Vietnam, Laos tighten policing co-operation

The comments were made at his meeting on July 6th with the Lao acting Minister of Public Security Somkeo Silavong, who is on a visit to Hanoi.

The two sides reviewed the result of co-operation last year which included improved cross-border police liaison.

For his part, Silavong thanked Vietnam for its support to the Lao Minister of Public Security Representative Office in Vietnam. The two pledged to continue their co-operation to maintaining political stability, social order and security and accelerating the international integration process of each nation.
