This information was announced at a press conference on the Vietnam Foodexpo 2019 held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 1 by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The exhibition aims to introduce the overall food industry of Vietnam; promote its image and strengths; honour the values of businesses; and facilitate trade connections and investment cooperation between domestic and international businesses of food industry.
The exhibition will attract 600 booths of more than 450 enterprises from 29 provinces and cities across the country and 23 countries and territories such as Germany, Italy, Turkey, Japan and Singapore.
According to Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of Export Support Centre, Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Foodexpo 2019 is an opportunity for businesses to access updated information, market knowledge and experiences in the food industry, as well as solutions to help businesses proactively respond to barriers in international trade in the integration period.
Under the framework of the event, many important activities, such as the Vietnam Food Forum, a seminar on investment promotion in the food industry, Best Barista (Coffee Championship), and Vietnam Foodexpo 2019 Impression Awards, will be organised.
In addition, the Vietnam Food Technology International Exhibition will also take place at the same time and place as Vietnam Foodexpo 2019, featuring 100 booths of advanced machinery and technologies for production and supporting the sustainable food market development in Vietnam.
