Vietnam exports carrots to Malaysia
VTV.vn - Another Vietnamese agricultural produce has been exported to Malaysia carrots. 100 tonnes of carrot have already been sold there.

Carrots are the fourth agricultural produce from Vietnam to be exported to Malaysia by Vietnam's AIC Information Technology Development Company and Malaysia's Supreme Freshfarm after lychee, longans and dragonfruit. Carrots are currently in high demand in Malaysia.

Vietnamese carrots were sold at 1.99 Ringgits, or 50 US cents. This was lower than Chinese carrots, which has been in the Malaysian market for many years.

Teh Hoe Seng, Director, Super Seven Supermarket said: This is the first time we've imported Vietnamese carrots. Malaysia has a high demand for carrots, which Vietnam can offer better than China in terms of quality, size and freshness. I believe in the future I will continue to import more.

The export of carrots to Malaysia has received good feedback, and it is expected the humble root vegetable will follow in the footsteps of Vietnam's popular fresh produce.
