VTV.vn - The World Bank published a report on food safety, which contained warnings for Vietnam on Monday.

Food safety is currently a pressing challenge for Vietnam the World Bank stressed, with 30-40% of food samples testing positive for salmonella. In addition, the use of illegal substances in the food industry was also mentioned, as well as dioxin residues affecting food in some areas. The World Bank advised that the authorities need to be more active and inspect farms as well as food processing sites frequently instead of holding separate food safety campaigns and issuing fines.
