Some suggested measures include focusing on smuggling and slaughtering of poultry, closely monitoring border gates where people enter from infected zones into Vietnam, and taking testing environmental and poultry samples to detect the virus in time.
In addition, agencies have been asked to carry out tight control in trading and slaughtering areas in markets as well as clean such areas daily in order to prevent the virus. The prime minister also required the holding of anti-bird flu prevention drills according to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Health plans.
