President Tran Dai Quang stressed that the province had to strengthen technology transfers and apply new technology. Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent congratulations to the provincial party committee, authorities and people of Ninh Binh.
Ninh Binh is a land with rich historical and cultural traditions. 25 years after its re-establishment, the province has achieved an average economic growth rate of nearly 18%. The economic structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry and services. Tourism has gradually become a key economic sector for the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Tran Dai Quang praised Ninh Binh's achievements in the past 25 years, stressing that the province has to strengthen technology transfer for industrial production and boost investment and regional links.
State President Tran Dai Quang said: Ninh Bình should improve socio-economic infrastructure, especially urban and transportation infrastructure to attract investment, creating motive for sustainable development. The province should also prioritise investment in industrial zones and clusters and gradually build industrial facilities in the rural and mountainous area in order to help the production, preservation and sale of agro-products.
State President Quang also emphasised the importance of restructuring industry and agriculture based on the province's strength in the time to come.
He also underlined the importance of tourism development in the province. Ninh Binh should effectively make use of the cultural and historical potentials, turning tourism into spearhead sector in the economic development.
“Ninh Binh needs to diversify its tourism services, focusing on heritage tourism, ecotourism and wellness travel. It's essential to preserve the local landscape and historical and cultural sites, protect the environment, and enhance publicity and promotions to turn Ninh Binh into a key national tourism destination”, State President Tran Dai Quang added.
State President Tran Dai Quang also called on local authorities to pay greater attention to education, training and social welfare. The provincial authority should focus on reforming the administrative system, building an effective and efficient government apparatus, contributing to the development of the province.
