This was the opinion of ministers at the first meeting of the joint committee on the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Free Trade Agreement, which was held in Moscow, Russia.
Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Industry and Trade said: “We reviewed responsibilities and solutions of related government bodies so that the FTA is effectively implemented. For example, some have responsibility to release specific guidance on the agreement implementation while others are in charge of product origin issues”.
In 2016, trade turnover between Vietnam and Eurasia reached 3.04 billion USD. Seven months after the FTA took effect, two way trade turnover increased by 30% compared to the same period last year.
