Vietnam desires to tighten cooperation in counter-terrorism

VTV.vn - During his meeting with Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov in the US, Vietnamese Minister of Public Security To Lam stressed that Vietnam has achieved significant results in implementing global counter-terrorism strategies.

Minister To Lam also stated Vietnam is willing to host international events on border control and join projects to share experience in counter-terrorism. He said Vietnam and other ASEAN countries will cooperate tightly with the UN in counter-terrorism. Vietnam desires to contribute to maintaining international peace and security and run for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council for the 2020 - 2021 term.
