The Danish Prime Minister affirmed that Denmark endorses the early signing and ratification of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, in order to realize the economic benefits that the Agreement will bring to both sides.
The Danish Prime Minister also affirmed his support for efforts to promote peace, stability, cooperation, and friendship in the region, including the East Sea, and emphasized the importance of the peaceful resolution of disputes and compliance with international law.
Following the talks, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Danish PM Lars Rasmussen witnessed the signing ceremonies of several bilateral agreements.
The newly-signed agreements include an agreement on low-carbon emission development between the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate, as well as a strategic cooperation agreement on sustainable development and food safety.
They also saw the signing of a letter of content on a strategic partnership between the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and Danish Ministry of Health, and other letters of content in the fields of vocational training and economic cooperation between major groups of the two countries.
On the occasion of the official visit to Denmark by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc from October 19-20 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the two sides issued a joint statement where the two PMs stressed the need to push forward the effective development of the bilateral comprehensive partnership as it nears its 50th anniversary in 2021.
