Chairing the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his appreciation to relevant agencies for organizing the forum, contributing significantly to the success of the WEF ASEAN 2018, which took place last month from September 11-13 in Hanoi. WEF ASEAN 2018 saw the attendance of senior leaders of ASEAN state members and partner countries and about 1,000 representatives from the world's multinational corporations.
The PM affirmed that WEF ASEAN 2018 was the most successful regional economic forum in the 27-year history of the World Economic Forum. In addition, leaders from the international community helped affirm Vietnam's role, reputation, and prestige within ASEAN, the region and the world. Also at the conference, seven groups and 16 individuals who had made excellent contributions to organizing the WEF ASEAN 2018 were granted Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
