Vietnam calls for more G7 climate change support

VTV.vn - Vietnam hopes that G7 countries and multilateral organisations will continue to assist the country and other Mekong nations in managing and protecting water resources, and improving their capacity to adapt to climate change.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed Japan’s initiatives to ensure peace and stability in Middle East as well as gender equality and healthcare. He warned of increasing challenges facing peace and stability, maritime and aviation safety and security in the East Sea due to unilateral changes in the status quo and reclamation of land to build artificial island and military activities. Vietnam and the ASEAN welcomed G7’s strong voice in support of freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea, settling of disputes by peaceful means in compliance with international law. Vietnam expressed its hope that the G7 and the international community would contribute responsibly to peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific and the world.
