After years working as an employee, Mạnh decided to open his own business. Lately, his business has been doing well. Now he only worries about expanding the company.
Nguyen Xuan Manh, Manager, Manh Tien Company said: Markets are more open and full of potential, especially foreign markets. The government has paved the way for opening new businesses. I hope that in the future businesses will be able to borrow more money to expand.
Over 86,000 businesses were established in Vietnam in the first 11 months of the year, mostly in manufacturing and trade, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
"Businesses are now very active, and have invested in different sectors including education, medicine, and exports. This is a good sign for the economy." Dang Huy Dong, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Planning and Investment said.
This is the result of efforts from both businesses and the government. However, there is still room for improvement.
"Higher authorities are more in sync with policy reform than local ones. Processes for registering land and obtaining credit are still complicated. If we do not prepare well, we will waste this opportunity that intergration has brought us", Cao Viet Sinh, Member, Advisory Council for Monetary and Financial Policies added.
It is estimated that the number of businesses will increase by 10% from now until the end of 2015. With more consistent and preferential policies being carried out, small and medium sized enterprises will be provided with favorable conditions to operate well in the market.
