According to Vietcombank, the customer had visited a bogus website and provided card credentials of her ATM account to hackers, who later used them to conduct the ATM theft. The authorities identified that Vietcombank sent OTP to the customer’s mobile phone which proved problematic as hackers could change the phone number on the internet.
