At the meeting, the Vice President praised the achievements recorded by the sector and affirmed that the Party and State have introduced many policies on vocational education in order to build a highly qualified workforce.
But she noted that Vietnam’s vocational education is facing numerous challenges, such as low-quality workers and an outdated vocational training system.
Thinh urged the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to take various measures, especially to develop vocational teachers as a key to enhancing vocational education in the coming years.
The Vice President said that she expects every teacher and manager at vocational education schools to continue devoting themselves to the educational cause, broadening their knowledge and enhancing their expertise.
