Rescue centre receives two baby tigers from Ha Tinh police

VTV.vn - Police forces in Huong Son district of Ha Tinh province have successfully rescued two baby tigers from animal traffickers.

The initial discovery was made when two suspicious men were spotted riding a motorbike on National Highway 8A at 5:50 on November 18. The pair were seen heading from Son Kim 1 commune towards the Cau Treo International Border Gate.

Upon noticing the police, the two suspects immediately fled the scene, leaving behind a green bag. Security forces then conducted a search of the men’s bag, during which they found two live baby tigers weighing a total of 8 kg.

As the wild animals are listed as endangered species, the two baby tigers were handed over to the Endangered Primate Rescue Center in Ninh Binh province.

The case is currently under further investigation.
