US and Russia urge peaceful settlement in Libya

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement that Washington was "deeply concerned" about the battle near Tripoli, and was seeking an "immediate halt" to LNA's offensive. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for a peaceful settlement in Libya and increased efforts by the UN Security Council (UNSC) to launch dialog between Libyan rival parties, on Saturday.
