He pointed out that while the U.S. has increased its capabilities and worked to integrate cyber operations into traditional military plans, the adversaries have also done the same. To combat these growing threats, Nakasone noted that it is critical to include government, military, industry and academia in deterring action in cyberspace.
He also proposed further international cooperation with other governments on this matter. Lieutenant General Paul Nakasone is the nominee for the position of Cyber Commander and director of the National Security Agency (NSA). He said cyber readiness would be his top priority if he becomes the next Cyber Commander.
