A special press release on the state funeral for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was issued by the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee on July 20.
His coffin will lie in state at the National Morgue at No. 5, Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.
Mourners can pay tribute to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm on July 25, and from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on July 26. A memorial service is being held from 1:00 pm on July 26 and he will be buried at the Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi at 3:00 pm on the same day.
Respect-paying and memorial services will also be held at the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and in his hometown in Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District of Hanoi coinciding with the ceremonies at the National Morgue.
Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam will broadcast the memorial and burial services live in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
