The seven-day fair features 300 pavilions with diverse products provided by 120 enterprises and establishments from 120 provinces and cities of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.
The international trade fair is considered one of the important events in promoting diplomatic relations and trade cooperation between Vietnam’s An Giang Province and the two Cambodian provinces of Takeo and Kandal in order to increase the export of goods to ASEAN countries in general and Mekong sub-region countries in particular.
Notably, this year’s fair also sees the participation of Laos’ Champasak Province, thereby contributing to strengthening the fine cooperative relationship between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, especially between An Giang, Champasak, Takeo, and Kandal.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People’s Committee, said that the international trade fair is an annual event of An Giang Province which has accompanied domestic and foreign businesses over the past 16 years.
"This is an opportunity to promote products to consumers and create conditions for domestic and foreign businesses to meet, cooperate, and expand export markets. The event also helps promote friendship as well as trade and investment cooperation between businesses, contributing to increasing import-export turnover and developing domestic and foreign markets," Phuoc noted.
