This year, the program focuses on the theme of Determination and the Path Forward, highlighting stories of Vietnamese individuals who have overcome geographical barriers to bring knowledge, technology, and aspirations for change back to their homeland.
One remarkable figure featured is Nick Shell, a green agriculture expert of Vietnamese descent who was born and raised in the UK. He shared his five-year journey of tirelessly researching and developing a project to grow Ngoc Long Bien (a type of seaweed) on saline land in Vietnam. Nick’s story is a vivid testament to his unwavering determination and belief in the immense potential of his homeland.

The program airs on VTV1 and VTV4 on the 1st and 3rd days of Tet and is rerun on other channels throughout the Lunar New Year period. It is also available on VTV's digital platforms.
