The gala opened with a heartfelt reunion of all 12 contestants through performance of the official theme song “Reaching for the Stars”, composed specifically for the show by music director Ho Hoai Anh. More than just a musical highlight, the song served as a touching message of determination and passion for music, reflecting the shared journey and aspirations of the contestants.
“Reaching for the Stars” – the official theme song of Talent Rendezvous serves as a powerful anthem encouraging the musical dreams of twelve passionate hearts.
Immediately following this electrifying performance, the contestants took a moment to reflect and open up with host Phi Linh. When asked about their early days in the competition, emotions ran high. Quang Anh, the Audience Choice Champion, shared, “The very first image and moment are always the most beautiful. Standing here today, I still remember that first day when we all met and stood together on this very stage”.
Vo Hoai Anh also expressed how the long journey had helped her mature and gain valuable experience alongside her fellow contestants.
Recalling her first steps in the competition, Bao Ngoc described the experience as “bewildering.” It was her first time joining such a major music competition and also the first time she gained a “new family”. Despite the initial unfamiliarity, she never felt alone, as all 12 contestants quickly bonded and were always ready to support one another.
Unlike many contestants, who were nervous early on, Thanh Thuy— the jury and professional council's champion selection—summed up his journey with just one word: “chill”. For him, the competition was a smooth and gentle ride, a place where he could live his music and be true to himself.
On the other hand, Quang Anh candidly admitted that the overwhelming feeling throughout his journey was “the fear of losing everything”. Transitioning from being a television actor to pursuing music, he experienced immense pressure ranging from self-doubt to anxiety about the results.
It is precisely this pressure that pushed him to give his all in every round.
For Minh Khoi, the phrase “low self-esteem” seemed to follow him throughout his life. Competing alongside such talented and energetic contestants often made him feel inadequate. However, living and interacting closely with Thanh Thuy, who was always positive and inspiring, helped Minh Khoi become more confident and gradually rediscover his self-assurance.
When asked about the judges’ feedback, Bui Thanh Thuy openly admitted that she was probably the contestant who received the most criticism throughout the show. For six competition nights, she received numerous direct and sometimes harsh critiques, but , but she considered them invaluable. These comments helped her reflect, adjust, and grow every day.
Regarding the performance of the controversial song “Noong Oi!”, Thanh Thuy admitted that she anticipated its difficulty when she accepted the piece. Nevertheless, she gave it her all to deliver the best performance possible. Ultimately, she considered the experience a significant lesson in not only technique but also song selection and the importance of listening to constructive feedback to better herself artistically.
As for Ni Ni, the sweet and lovable contestant, her most unforgettable memory came from a judge’s comment. Truc Nhan once reminded her to enunciate more clearly while singing. That remark haunted her thought throughout her journey. Ever since, she has constantly reminded herself: “I must pronounce more clearly!”That commitment significantly helped her improve with each performance.
Thanh Thuy also shared a challenging memory from Episode 4, , when she performed a duet with Ni Ni. Although they had initially agreed on a song, Ni Ni struggled to connect with it. At the last moments, Thanh Thuy chose a new piece e, for which she ultimately received high praise from judge Truc Nhan.
This emotional gala not only featured heartfelt stories about the “Talent Rendezvous” journey but also treated the audience to never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, including moments of laughter, rehearsals, and shared discoveries. These weren’t just memories; they were meaningful milestones that each contestant will carry into their future.
