The South Korea's Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon on Tuesday offered high-ranking government talks with North Korea next week at the border village of Panmunjom, a day after Pyongyang suggested talks for North Korean athletes to take part in the upcoming Pyongyang Winter Games. This is a good signal for the inter-Korean relation, right at the beginning of 2018.
As for talks between the two Koreas, South Korean Defense Ministry spokeswoman said that Seoul was awaiting a more detailed reply from Pyongyang to already-existing offers for dialogue made back in July last year by Seoul.
